Logical Whimsy creates original, highly interactive mystery game experiences for parties and corporate events in the Greater Boston area. Unlike off-the-shelf murder mystery kits, our games are expertly written, fully facilitated experiences designed to immerse every guest into the story.
A Logical Whimsy gamemaker runs the game live, personalizing the experience for your guests and keeping the action dynamic from start to finish — ensuring a killer time that you and your friends, family, colleagues, allies and/or enemies will never forget. You choose the theme, provide the space, and invite the guests; we’ll handle the rest.

How it works
1. Choose a Game
Each of our unique themed mystery games include a mix of scripted scenes and free form investigating to create an exceptional evening of sleuthing.
2. Cast Your Mystery
With guidance from your Mystery Manager, ahead of your event you will cast 6-7 of your guests as the murder suspects, with your other guests playing non-suspect characters. All attendees will receive an information packet at the start of the event with everything they need to know about their character, including their motivations and secrets (murderous and otherwise).
3. Enjoy the Investigation
Your Mystery Manager will arrive early to prepare the space and game materials. When your guests arrive, they’ll receive their game instructions and start mingling in character. Your Mystery Manager will facilitate the game in character, allowing the host to enjoy the mystery alongside guests.
